The idea

A chocolate brand started inside the Build Your Own Business programme at Mesa School of Business.

What I owned

  • Sourcing: found and re-sourced across 3 suppliers (Ooty, then a Bangalore manufacturer, then a local home-based producer) to improve cost and reliability.
  • Sales: led B2B and on-ground sales across 6+ retail stalls, engaging 300+ customers.
  • Go-to-market: used stall feedback to refine positioning and the sales pitch.

The numbers

₹1.46L revenue, about 970 units at around ₹150 average order value: ₹56K from B2B and ₹90K from D2C.

What I learned

How fast real customers change your plan, and that selling in person is the quickest way to find out what is wrong.
